SECURE Act 2019

Tax Law Changes to Retirement Accounts and Retirement Planning - Recorded 12/27/19

Congress passed a government spending bill in December 2019 that included both the SECURE Act and various tax extenders.  This course focuses on the changes made by the SECURE Act - most of which, but not all, are related to retirement accounts and retirement planning.  There is also be a brief discussion on the tax extenders.

  • Understand the changes to the Internal Revenue Code made by the SECURE Act.
  • Understand the expired tax law provisions that Congress extended to tax year 2020.

About the instructor

INSTRUCTOR THOMAS A. GORCZYNSKI, EA, CTC, USTCP is the Senior Tax Consultant at Gorczynski & Associates, LLC in Phoenix, AZ.  He is an enrolled agent, a Certified Tax Coach, a Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute (NTPI), and was admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court in 2015. He earned a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University and a Certificate in Finance and Accounting from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
